Lauren Casentini (Vice-Chair), President of Resource Solutions Group. In her 20 years in the industry, she has been involved in designing, managing, and implementing resource efficiency programs in a range of capacities. She also represents her company in the policy arena through participation in many forums that influence federal and state energy policy and program design. Ahmad Ganji, Principal with Base Energy, Inc., an engineering consulting firm in San Francisco that consults with businesses, government agencies, and utilities in commercial and industrial energy conservation and waste minimization. Ahmad is also a professor of Mechanical Engineering at San Francisco State University and serves as the director of the Industrial Assessment Center (IAC), a US Department of Energy sponsored project. His main fields of interest and expertise are thermal/fluid processes, combustion, and industrial energy conservation. Bob Hinkle, Founder and CEO of Metrus Energy. Metrus Energy is a San Francisco-based firm that develops and finances large-scale energy efficiency projects. Bob has more than 17 years of experience in the energy industry and has developed and implemented over $200 million of energy projects and programs in the U.S. and in emerging overseas markets. Bob also served as entrepreneur in residence for the California Clean Energy Fund focusing on new business models for energy efficiency. Jim Kelsey, Principal of kW Engineering. kW is an Oakland-based energy efficiency consulting and engineering firm. He is a licensed mechanical engineer, a LEED accredited professional, teaches classes on energy efficiency in HVAC and refrigeration, and is an active member of ASHRAE’s Building Energy Performance Technical committee currently re-writing standards for energy efficiency in existing buildings. Luther Kopf, Director at Energy Solutions, an energy efficiency and sustainability consulting firm based in Oakland. Luther manages a team providing utility and government clients with the design and implementation of energy efficiency programs and custom software applications. He has worked closely with utility clients representing their energy efficiency services, renewable energy, evaluation and information technology departments and is currently managing the development and enhancement of the Business and Consumer Electronics online software application. During his time at Energy Solutions, Mr. Kopf has been involved in the California Solar Initiative, the Federal and State E5K lighting program, and the California Instant Rebate System. Douglas Mahone, managing Principal of the Heschong Mahone Group Inc., and is a licensed architect specializing in building energy efficiency. Doug has a long history of collaborations with major program implementers, and in the measurement and evaluation of their energy efficiency programs. He is an acknowledged expert in building energy codes and new construction energy efficiency, as well as in building energy simulation methods and applications. Jennifer Mitchell-Jackson, Vice President of West Coast Operations for Opinion Dynamics and manages their Oakland office. She has worked in this industry for 15 years, and has been with Opinion Dynamics for nearly a decade. Prior to joining Opinion Dynamics, she received a Masters’ Degree in Energy Policy from the Energy and Resources Group at UC-Berkeley, while working with the California Public Utilities Commission and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Steve Schiller (Chair), President of Schiller Consulting, Inc. He has 30 years of experience in the energy industry with a focus on demand-side energy efficiency, renewables and independent power and climate change mitigation. He has been a senior manager or CEO of four energy engineering and project management firms. He currently consults on climate and efficiency infrastructure development projects both domestically and internationally. Craig Smith (Treasurer), CEO of RHA, Inc. Craig has over 30 years of industry experience industry, providing energy efficiency policy and program leadership to utilities and public agencies across the nation. Craig has also served on key boards and committees for the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), and the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. Nehemiah Stone, Principal at Benningfield Group. Nehemiah spent the last 35 years in energy efficiency, starting out as a general contractor, energy consultant, college instructor, and building inspector before transitioning to the California Energy Commission (CEC), where he worked on building standards and demand analysis before serving as an adviser to two commissioners. After a decade at the CEC, Nehemiah joined Heschong Mahone Group and then KEMA before arriving at the Benningfield Group where he is the technical lead on several utility and CEC sponsored projects. Phil Welker, Executive Director at PECI. He leads the development of energy services programs for a variety of clients and oversees the management of all PECI projects and programs. In addition to leading PECI he serves as the Executive Director for the California Commissioning Collaborative, the Board of Directors for the Building Commissioning Association and the Board of Directors for the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council. Greg Wikler (Secretary), Director of Regulatory Affairs at EnerNOC, an international energy management company that helps commercial, institutional and industrial organizations use energy more intelligently, pay less for it, and generate cash flows that benefit each organization’s bottom line. Greg conducts technical, economic and financial assessments for electric and gas utilities, serving clients around the US and abroad. In his nearly 25 years of experience in this field, Greg has been involved in strategic planning assessments and program design/implementation support for energy efficiency and demand response initiatives. He has testified before several public utility commissions around the US on issues related to demand-side management programs and he routinely presents at industry conferences and gatherings throughout the US, Europe and Asia. |
