The California Energy Efficiency Industry Council has issued a new study, a market assessment that maps existing state, regional and national end-use energy efficiency organizations throughout the United States that address policy issues and legislation. The report’s objectives are to identify possible gaps in coverage and business representation by these organizations and to be available as a tool for identifying potential strategies for improving the effectiveness of organizing and supporting energy efficiency businesses in the United States.  The report, “Energy Efficiency Industry Organizations in the United States: Overview and Analysis" drew on a review of over 200 organizations and scores of expert interviews. The report was prepared with financial support from the Energy Foundation and authored by Brandon Smithwood and Efficiency Council Board Chair Steven Schiller.
